good grief
It seems like every day there’s something new to process and find a way to move on. Everyday’s a funeral around here, and we’re expected to keep calm and carry on. The problem is, I’m not a calm person. I can carry on just fine, but the last thing I feel is calm. And I’m not just talking about the state of the world. I’m talking about the daily minutia too. Every little task is like climbing a mountain, but when you get to the top, the view is all your failures and crushed dreams. Big effort, no reward. Just more punishment.
Anyway, I hope you’re doing ok considering the circumstances. Wherever you’re reading this from, I hope you’re well-fed and getting 8 hours of sleep. That’s the best we can hope for these days. The bare minimum of life’s simple pleasures. Take care.
